On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2018, Mason Editions made its official entry into the international design scene by participating in the Fuorisalone inside one of the city’s most avant-garde and evocative locations: FutureDome.

Located at via Paisiello 6, in the heart of the Ventura Centrale district, FutureDome is not just an exhibition space, but a living museum and a hub for creativity. The historic Art Nouveau building — once a meeting point for artists of the Futurist movement — was transformed into a museum co-housing project, providing the ideal backdrop to host the innovative spirit and contemporary vision of Mason Editions.

Collections Suspended Between Craftsmanship and Innovation

For this major showcase, Mason Editions presented its debut collections of lighting and furniture accessories, born from collaborations with talented designers such as Serena Confalonieri, Matteo Fiorini, and Martina Bartoli.

The exhibition layout within the historic apartments of FutureDome highlighted the material contrasts and formal purity that define the brand’s identity. Objects with a strong character yet minimalist aesthetic — where metal meets blown glass and wood — engaged in a dialogue with the raw, peeling walls and the decadent charm of the structure, creating a visually striking contrast.

Featured pieces included the Lotus lamps (designed by Serena Confalonieri), the Mia vases and side tables collection (designed by Matteo Fiorini), and the Touch accessories (designed by Ferriani Sbolgi). Each piece successfully interpreted the brand’s philosophy: a contemporary, accessible luxury rooted in Italian craftsmanship but projected toward global living trends.

A Successful Debut

The participation in FutureDome 2018 marked a milestone for Mason Editions, capturing the attention of international buyers, architects, and press, and positioning the brand as one of the most interesting and promising newcomers in the signature design landscape.
